Our History and Purpose

Score 3 began the day a chapter closed. After selling Software Theoretic, Inc. in 2015, I realized I’d traded more than a company; I’d traded an identity. The question became simple and unsettling: What’s next?

In the quiet between a podcast and a late-night notebook, I reclaimed a classic sense of a common word: score, as in twenty years, a count that echoes loudly through our history. Imagine a life measured not in years, but in scores. The first score shapes you. The second score tests you. The third score asks you to decide what you will leave behind. At forty, I entered my third score and chose a clear answer: legacy through service.

Score 3 was built to make that answer real. Our belief is straightforward: dreams deserve defenders. Around the world, bold ideas stall not because they lack courage, but because they lack the right mix of financial, social, and knowledge capital. We bring those three together so Dreamers—creatives and founders—can move from spark to scale, and deliver outcomes that last.

From that conviction grew:

This is the work of our third score: defend dreams, deliver outcomes, amplify new voices, and strengthen communities. It’s not about headlines; it’s about institutions that endure and lives made better. If we do this right, our best proof won’t be our name on a marquee or a cap table. It will be builders passing on wisdom, storytellers remembered and reimagined, and communities that feel seen and strengthened
